UPCOMING WORK DAYS...

Saturday, August 23rd CANCELLED!

Meet at Gerrard’s Restaurant in Goddard at 7:30 am for food or 8 am for assignments. We have jobs for every ability and desire! There is always trash to pick up at intersections as well as weeds to pull by hand to get the roots out. We would love to extend our first open mile but need volunteers to make this happen. Feel free to bring your wider tire bike to ride the west end of the trail at the conclusion of our work! Bring your camera, wildlife is in its natural habitat and usually quite visible. Bring work gloves, personal water needs, and chain saw or trimmers if you've got 'em!

Call Ruth at 685-4545 or Cecile at 744-7786 with questions.

Prairie Sunset Trail

TRAIL BENEFITS
Everyone wins with the preservation of transportation corridors and the development of linear trails: the nation retains a vital resource, the public gains a place to safely walk or ride, the railroads retain the right to restore rail service in the future, small towns can receive an economic boon, and adjacent landowners obtain access to a recreational facility and increased property values.

By helping to preserve Kansas' heritage and recreational opportunities, you will be giving your children and grandchildren an irreplaceable gift - living history. If the linear trails project cannot be kept on track, so to speak, the corridors may be lost forever. That is why Prairie Travelers needs your help.
